Located just a few blocks from campus, William H. Gray III 30th Street Station is Philadelphia’s largest transportation hub and one of the busiest in the nation. Serviced by more than 100 daily SEPTA, Amtrak, and New Jersey Transit trains, along with numerous Megabus and BoltBus lines, the station puts Philadelphia easily within reach of destinations up and down the East Coast and throughout the West. The station also serves as a major connection point for inner-city travel via SEPTA buses and the Market-Frankford (L) Subway Line.

The McGonigal Academic Resource Center (ARC), located in the Korman Center, serves as an integrated hub of on-campus academic support services focusing on providing tutoring, academic coaching, workshops, specialized courses, and more.

Since its opening in 1812, the Academy of Natural Sciences has been famous for its exhibits of fearsome dinosaurs, live butterflies, and historic dioramas. Recognized as the oldest natural sciences institution in the Western Hemisphere, the Academy is a leader in research and education, presenting world-class exhibitions and interactive events. It also offers free admission to Drexel students, along with reduced rates for special exhibits, and is considered a favorite among local co-op opportunities.

Entrepreneurship students automatically receive a space here and up to $19,000 in scholarship while on entrepreneurial co-op.

The Behavioral Lab, located on the lower level of Gerri C. LeBow Hall, is a research facility for business-related topics. The Lab allows for test-subject privacy when conducting studies, along with flexibility to easily customize the space and settings according to the researcher’s needs.

The Ben Franklin Parkway stretches from City Hall to the Philadelphia Museum of Art. The Parkway is lined with an incredible array of museums and collections containing world-class artifacts and exhibits, including the Franklin Institute Science Museum, the Rodin Museum, and the Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University.

Bentley Hall is home to the Honors Program Living-Learning Community, where Honors students are able to live together with other academically focused students from all different majors and colleges.

Our Trading Lab has 42 computers that have cutting-edge, industry-standard software. Students have access to financial news and research technology they’ll encounter after graduation. This is also home to the Dragon Fund, a student-managed equity portfolio of over $1 million.

Boathouse Row, which consists of 15 historic 19th-century Victorian boathouses lined along the Schuylkill River, serves as the heart of rowing for the Philadelphia community. Outlined in lights that dance across the water, this stretch of buildings has been designated as a National Historic Landmark and is listed in the United State’s National Register of Historic Places, ensuring it will be preserved and enjoyed by generations to come.

Broad Street is regarded as the artistic and cultural center of Philadelphia. Here you’ll find Philly’s premier locations for music and stage performance, including the renowned Kimmel Center, which houses Verizon Hall, the Perelman Center, the Innovation Studio, and the Merck Arts Education Center. It is also the main route for city’s world-famous New Year’s Day Parade, as well as the un-official celebration point for the city’s professional sports teams.

Encompassing the city’s busiest and most vibrant cultural and historical neighborhoods, Center City is the heart of our forward-thinking city, and home to many eclectic restaurants and eateries, museums and art galleries, and a variety of theaters and playhouses.

The Center for Interdisciplinary Clinical Simulation and Practice (CICSP) is a 22,000-square-foot innovative experiential learning lab that allows faculty to immerse learners in domain-specific skills training, experience patient or client encounters in the community (a simulated apartment), outpatient care settings and inpatient care settings including operating rooms. Learners can experience patients and families, portrayed by actors, moving throughout the healthcare continuum.

Chestnut Square is a living space complete with multiple quick and easy food options — you can take your food to go or eat in the outdoor seating area.

A Drexel co-op program starts with Steinbright’s ties to local employer partners. At these organizations, like the Comcast Corporation, you can take advantage of their proximity to the city and strong partnership with Drexel. While on co-op at Comcast, you will learn from the best business minds and take advantage of experiences such as acquisition marketing, computer engineering, advertising, website development, and customer interaction.

Dilworth Park, which sits at the foot of City Hall, serves as a public meeting plaza, event space, and transportation hub. Known for its unique water fountain, which shoots dancing streams of water into the air, the park also hosts the city’s most picturesque ice-skating rink in the winter months.

The park also features a grand, glass-enclosed entrance to the intersecting Broad Street and Market-Frankford transit lines that lie below, making it an energetic and bustling location at all times of the day.

No Drexel tour would be complete without a stop at the iconic Mario statue! For over 90 years, the Drexel Dragon has served as our beloved mascot, symbolizing the strength, determination, and pride exhibited by our students. The Dragon Statue, officially known as Mario the Magnificent, makes for a fantastic photo opportunity and is a great location for student organization and campus-hosted events. Looking north just across the street from Mario, you’ll see Nesbitt Hall; looking east, you’ll find the W.W. Hagerty Library — both great places to study!

This 40,000+ square feet of green space (with 18,000 square feet of planting beds) on campus is a great place for Drexel students to study, hang out, or relax!

Drexel Park is a 2.5-acre open green space that serves as a recreational park for the Drexel and Powelton Village communities. A prime spot for large outdoor activities, it’s also a great place to relax, unwind, and meet up with friends.

Drexel’s two outdoor tennis courts are open-use for students and feature full lighting, allowing play throughout the evening.

Volleyball courts in the middle of the city? You heard us right. Beach volleyball awaits within close distance to the residence halls and classrooms so you can have a quick game with friends between classes.

The Expressive and Creative Interaction Technologies (ExCITe) Center believes that everyone has the potential to be creative and be an innovator. The Center unites design, technology, and entrepreneurship in many forms, but especially in the App Lab. Students learn the power of smartphone applications with the ability to create, design, and test them in a multidisciplinary environment.

The Gait Lab, which is part of the College of Nursing and Health Professions, houses technology used for medicinal purposes. For instance, the motion-camera system allows study of athletes for tracking and treating overuse running injuries.

A collaboration between Drexel and the Philadelphia Horticultural Society (PHS), the Gateway Garden is home to a variety of seasonal horticulture, outdoor seating and study areas, and rotating performances and programs.

Greek Row is an entire street of most of the sorority and fraternity houses on campus. Greek Row is also home to many popular brother and sister campus events throughout the year.

The Handschumacher Dining Center, also known as the “Hans,” is home to various kinds of cuisine including a Philly favorite, the make-your-own cheesesteak bar. Asian, American, and Italian dishes are also served up, as well as fresh fruit and salads. Low-calorie and gluten-free options are also on the menu.

This 12-story, 460,000 square foot, state-of-the-art academic home brings together the College of Nursing and Health Professions, the College of Medicine and the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences and Professional Studies, enhancing collaboration, research and practice opportunities.

This laboratory is a central location for students from the College of Medicine and College of Nursing and Health Professions to immerse themselves in anatomy using various hands-on cadaveric and virtual learning tools and spaces.

At Drexel's law school, students are able to pursue their goals with passion and integrity while learning from leading scholars and connected practitioners. Founded in 2006, students have the opportunity to participate in clinical programs, advocacy, pro bono work, and more.

Since Drexel’s founding in 1891, we’ve had a library; in our first year, the library had nearly 8,000 volumes. Over the decades, a lot has changed. Founded in 1891, Drexel University was built on the cornerstone that a university needs to meet the needs of a rapidly growing society, preparing students for careers in every industry. Today, Drexel is a world-renowned research university with over 21,000 students. The Main Building was the original location of Drexel University and still serves as a place for classes and administrative offices.

With over 250 student clubs and organizations, Drexel Dragons are always having fun. If you can't find a club that's right for you, we always encourage students to create their own — because you'll definitely find other students who love your favorite activity just as much as you do. The Mandell Theater is the primary performance venue for our performing arts programs as well as Drexel events and special events from outside organizations.

Millennium Hall is as impressive on the inside as it is on the outside. This is Drexel’s tallest building; its 17th floor has beautiful views of Philadelphia’s skyline. All rooms are double-occupancy, but the unique design of the rooms allows for private bathrooms. When you’re not studying, the first floor of the hall has a television and gaming equipment.

North Hall has four- and six-person suites. Each wing has a full kitchen, while each suite has a kitchenette. Students can take advantage of another sweeping view of Philadelphia in the sixth-floor study lounge/classroom. There are study areas on the first floor with dry erase boards and a game room with table games for all residents.

In the heart of Drexel’s residential area is the Northside Dining Terrace. There you’ll find restaurants and a full-service convenience store.

Old City is a unique pairing of The Old and The New, presenting a combination of art galleries, boutiques, theatres, restaurants, and historical attractions. The majority of Philadelphia’s colonial landmarks can be found here, including Independence Park, the National Constitution Center, the Liberty Bell, and the Betsy Ross House.

Opened in 2013, Paine’s Park is a skateboarder’s dream, built in direct partnership between local business leaders and stalwarts of the Philly skating community. Designed to replicate the distinctive features of the city’s non-skating public parks and squares, the park provides over 30,000 square feet of skate-friendly benches, rails, and pipes. It also hosts a variety of outdoor events, including live music performances, film screenings, and skill demonstrations.

Race Street Hall is just one of our residence halls. Race Street Hall offers 4-person suites, 9 on each floor. Each suite has two showers and a private bathroom and a kitchen area with fridge, sink, and cabinets. The suite’s lounge is a great place to get some homework done and hang out with friends. If you’re looking for a residence hall that allows you to have more than one roommate, this is a great option for you.

Race Street Walk is located in the center of some of our residence halls, including Race Street Residences and Kelly Hall. In the heart of this student residential district is the Library Learning Terrace. When you want to get away from your room and have the ability to study alone or in groups, the Terrace is a great option for you. The Terrace has a projector and private hub station for tutoring or coaching, whiteboards, and adjustable seating areas.

Drexel students have a lot to choose from when it comes to being active. We have 18 Division I teams, from basketball to crew to field hockey. Students can also take part in club and intramural sports, a great way to meet other Drexel Dragons and have some fun. At the Recreation Center, students can take a swim, play some squash, scale an indoor rock-climbing wall, and more.

Drexel has a vibrant and active residential community, composed of 8 residence halls and 36 greek life organizations — all within a few-block radius. Race Street Walk serves as a popular meeting spot for our residential students, providing the opportunity to gather for social activities, such as community cookouts and the annual Homecoming Bonfire, and community events, including our fall and spring Involvement Fairs. You can also check out the nearby Library Learning Terrace, which is a great study spot with a projector, whiteboards, and a private hub station for tutoring or coaching sessions.

Thought of as the city’s most prestigious and desired real estate, the Rittenhouse Square area centers around a gorgeous open-space park at 18th and Walnut streets. Its park benches, flowing fountain, greenery, and classic architecture make the park one of downtown’s most popular meet-up and people-watching destinations. Rittenhouse is also seen as the heart of the city’s business district, with over 300,000 people employed in the area.

Ross Commons mixes classic style with modern convenience. It features the family-owned restaurant Sabrina’s Café, which offers fresh food choices.

The Rush Building is one of Drexel's Student Centers. It's home to the Center for Black Culture, Student Center for Diversity and Inclusion (SCDI), the Student Organization Resource Center (SORC), Student Conduct, Event Services, and more. Mario's Market, Drexel's food pantry, is located on the second floor.

Saxbys is a local favorite, known for its quiet atmosphere for coffee-sipping and enjoying pastries. Just a short distance away from the Recreation Center, finish your exercise routine with some caffeine. Drexel students even have the option to do co-op at Saxbys.

And the Steinbright Career Development Center, our world-class resource for career and cooperative education services, will be here to help you every step of the way with preparatory workshops, information sessions, access to career fairs, and dedicated career service professionals who are available for one-on-one guidance. Steinbright also connects our students to a constantly growing network of employers and industry leaders across the globe through our co-op program.

The Academic Bistro is a hot spot of creativity. It’s where student chefs learn from faculty and top chefs in the industry to come up with original recipes. You can also stop by for a hand-crafted lunch during the fall, winter, and spring.

The Summit is a Drexel affiliated housing property operated by American Campus Communities (ACC) that provides independent living options for upper-class students.

The Urban Eatery features six unique food concepts including the pizza/pasta, salad bar, smoothie, and coffee bar stations — all in one convenient on-campus location.

Drexel University has a diverse number of programs — over 100 undergraduate majors and as many minors, over 120 graduate programs, and over 35 doctoral programs. Our degrees prepare students for their future careers, providing hands-on learning opportunities as well as a history of the industries and their impact on the world. The URBN Center is just one of our academic buildings. This 140,000-square-foot facility houses a state-of-the-art motion capture studio, music recording studios, a video game design lab, and more.

Located on the northeast end of campus, the Vidas Athletic Complex is the home of Drexel’s outdoor varsity athletics and recreational sports. It features a Sprinturf-surfaced soccer and lacrosse field, an Astroturf-surfaced field hockey venue, a natural grass multipurpose field, nine tennis courts, and a softball field.
